We are an enthusiastic, lively amateur dramatic society founded in 1931. This friendly sociable group produce two full length plays a year, as well as enjoying social time together.

We meet weekly on a Tuesday evening at Downsview Methodist Church Hall in Upper Norwood, on the junction of Downsview Road and Waddington Way, SE19 3XH and have a small but dedicated membership.

Our plays are presented in the spring and autumn, usually March and October. Planning of our next production usually begins when the curtain goes down on the current one, so we meet all year round with a few breaks for holidays.

Most of our members are versatile and flexible and will turn their hand to doing most of the jobs needed to produce a play. This is something we encourage, so if you audition for a part and are not required for that particular play, it does not mean you are not wanted and needed.

The people working backstage are as vital to a production as the person standing centre stage and often ‘backstage’ people have the most fun! Equally if you are joining us to help backstage and have no desire to ‘tread the boards’ no one will force you to get under a spotlight.
